Russell Westbrook and Fashion

Russell Westbrook may be a star for the Oklahoma City Thunder and an NBA icon, but he is also become known for his sense of style and is considered to be one of the most fashionably dressed men in NBA. In fact, Sports Illustrated has crowned him to be the Most Fashionable Athlete of 2017.

Westbrook is able to seamless combine comfort and style with a little panache to create some eye catching fashions that captures the imagination. His ability to wear avant guard clothing with complete aplomb has made him stand out as both a man who knows and understands fashion.

Westbrook's sense of style has allowed him to create his own fashion line called Honor the Gift. Westbrook's line consists of Graphic T-shirts, Sweatshirt, hats, socks and unisex street wear all reasonably price.

Westbrook credits his mother for his interest in fashion, stating she dressed him and his brothers well even though they lacked the income he enjoys today. Westbrook even stated that his mother still dresses fashionably. This early introduction to fashion has stayed with Russell and today through his career in the NBA he can enjoy exploring his own sense of fashion.

One of the unique things about Russell Westbrook's sense of fashion is that he seems to have a sixth sense of what goes together. He is able to put items of clothing together that most people would not imagine would go together to create a unique look that is trendy and stylish.

Some Public Opinions on His Style

I've seen worse designs from very successful designers. Personally, I'm not sure I would like any dude of mine wearing some of the styles Westbrook chooses, but with that said we all only have one life and it's just clothes on your back. Why not have fun even if it does look a tad bit silly or gender bending. I guess in the big scheme of things what's really important is if one has an honest loving heart. Who cares what people think about your clothes.

I get so pissed when I see everyone shit talk russes fashion. He IS fashion. People call him faggot and queer but they don't know anything about pushing boundaries. Russell pushes boundaries and that's what makes him a fashion Icon.

This guy's gonna wear a dress to the game eventually.
